The Two-Step Sari*, with the pleats stitched in the Nivi style of draping is the most popular and flattering style. The Nivi style draping allows for thepallu(the remainder of the sari fabric after the pleated portion) to pull up at the left side, wrap tightly behind the back, beneath the right underarm, to drape the front of the body and hang over and behind the left shoulder. The pallu can be pinned at the left shoulder to drape freely or pleated at the desired width and hang behind and below the left side of the body.
The elastic openings at the waist are hidden when the waistband is at rest, but allow for breathability and comfort when sitting. We include a side zipper to allow you to step into the sari "skirt".
